Gyan’s fitness is key to Ghana’s success

Gyan_Asamoah_570599If the Black Stars are to extinguish the burning desire of all Ghanaians in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea a fit and an inform Asamoah Gyan is imperative.
In the lead up to the Black Stars preparations Gyan sustained an injury which almost ruled him out of starting the Black Stars first game against Botswana.
In came the renowned Serbian healer, Kovacevic, and the now the news from the Black Stars camp is one to Azonto about.
Gyan is nearing full fitness so quickly that Stevanovic has suggested that he could be play a apart when the Black Stars take on Platinum Stars in their last warm up match.
"It is nothing new that Gyan is a very important player for us. We will wait for him to come back soon. I am very happy that he took part in the training session on Saturday. I hope that when we play against Platinum Stars he plays the full match," Stevanovic said.
The news of Gyan's quick recovery has lifted the mood in camp with Daniel Opare saying, "Asamoah Gyan is a very good player. He is central to the Ghana strike force and for most footballers injuries can be very problematic so we are happy for him and happy that he is looking fit. I was happy to see him back and so were a lot of the players when he came out today."
So all is almost set for the Black Stars to battle for the right to be called Kings of Africa and with Asamoah Gyan's injury nightmare seemingly over, Team Possible's first game against Botswana will hopefully be a comfortable “Zebra” crossing.
